Lindhorst Wines
|
This boutique wine estate, located in the picturesque Paarl Valley in the Western Cape is owned by Mark and Belinda Lindhorst. The wines are not generally available in the retail trade. We sell directly to a growing list of private customers. We meet customers by doing private wine tasting at your home, office or club. To arrange a private wine tasting, contact us .
We produce a range of top quality red wines including Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and a small amount of the South African varietal, Pinotage. Farm manager and in-house winemaker, Ernie Wilken seeks advice from renowned viticulturalist Kevin Watt and consultant winemaker, Cathy Marshall.
Grapes are hand-picked and yields are deliberately low to ensure quality. After careful assessments to establish the exact ripeness required from the grapes, they are harvested in the cool early hours of the morning. Internal grape temperature can be dropped further or maintained in refrigerated storage facilities.
In the cellar the temperature is carefully controlled and we use the finest oak and modern methods to ensure a quality product. A meticulous blending process and the advice of experts with excellent palates help us create our blends including the Shiraz dominated blend that is our "Statement". Due to popular demand we have recently added a white wine to our range.
We are proud supporters of the Douglas Foundation Scholarship Fund. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) a portion of all sale to this exclusive community are donated to break the cycle of poverty while, at the same time, developing future leaders in South Africa.
We offer free “door to door” delivery to all major cities. Select vintages below:
